Police released surveillance video of the suspect from inside a local market. The man appeared to be shopping for fruits and vegetables after allegedly groping a girl in the second incident.
At around 5 pm on March 9, a 15-year-old girl was riding a northbound Number 6 train. At the Grand Concourse and East 149th Street station, cops say the man repeatedly grabbed the girl’s buttocks before he ran out of the train.
A second groping occurred four days later.
At around 7:30 am on March 13,
a 15-year-old girl was riding a northbound Number 4 train. When the train reached the River Avenue and East 167th Street station, the man grabbed her buttocks. The victim fled the train at the Bedford Park subway station.
Cops say the suspect remained on the train. It is unclear where he exited the subway.
In neither case the victim suffered injury or sought medical treatment.
Police described the suspect as a thin male in his 50s. He is 5 foot 2 and 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, green shirt underneath, blue jeans, black sneakers, white hat, black face mask, eyeglasses and seen carrying a long umbrella, a red bag and a black and pink bag.
