(Broomfield, Colo) Sushi-Rama, a playful restaurant serving sushi rolls on a conveyor belt, added a new location in Broomfield this week.
Located in the Arista development near the Broomfield Events Center, Chef Jeff Osaka’s space at 8181 Arista Place also houses an outpost of Osaka Ramen.
Akin to Kaitenzushi (i.e., sushi train) restaurants in Japan that provide a convenient way to sample a variety of rolls, Sushi-Rama’s conveyor twists through the restaurant past booths and bar-style seating, with covered plates available for the taking.
The bright colored plates signify the cost of rolls, which servers can tally up before bringing your bill. For example, a pair of Philly rolls on pink plates is $2; a duo of lobster mango tempura rolls on an orange plate is $3.50 and a couple of spider rolls with soft shell crab on blue plates is $4. You’ll also see some potato chips passing by on the belt; the salty snack can enhance the taste of sushi.
Sushi-Rama also has locations in Denver’s River North (RiNo) neighborhood, the Denver Tech Center, Fitzsimons in Aurora and Lone Tree.
