Hey Phoenix! If you’re looking to get away for a while, but you don’t want to travel too far from home, why not consider a glamping destination? The Grand Canyon and Painted Desert both offer stunning and remote vacation spots perfect for those wanting a bit of outdoor-inspired luxury.

These glamping spots are sure to do the trick and are also ready to fit any budget. Choose from a Dome in Williams, cabins in Flagstaff and much more unique desert stays. If you’re new to “glamping”, these stays feature the creature comforts of traditional vacation stays. These stays range from “all of the amenities” to stays with more bare-bones “bed and space heater” style camp spots.

If these spots don’t tickle your fancy, feel free to visit my other Phoenix Glamping suggestions, like 7 Unusual Spots to Vacation This Weekend Near Phoenix, 6 Tiny Homes to Book for Your Spring Vacation, and Six Unusual “Glamp” Spots for Your Weekend Getaway.

This Retro Video-Game Themed Dome

It includes a full bathroom with a shower. There is a large loft bed perfect for snuggling after a long day of hiking. Downstairs includes several egg-style chairs and a large lounger bed decorated like Pac Man. The walls themselves are video-gamed themed, and there are old-school game consoles inside ready for you to relax with.

The site includes breakfast and dinner options, s’mores making, and a complimentary drink during the stay. Movie nights, astronomy nights, lit sculpture night walks, and even a projector movie dome are included to make your stay as entertaining and luxurious as possible.

The property owner has several other Domes available for rent, including a “Secret Agent” themed Dome, a Space Dome, and a Canyon Dome.

This Off the Grid Bell Tent

Located in Williams, Arizona about an hour from the South Rim, this luxury bell tent is perfect for off-grid adventurers. The inside of the bell tent is shockingly spacious and pleasurable. There is no shower, although there is a portable toilet available.

The host will provide a list of nearby shower amenities. This is a hammock area for lounging and napping on site, and a place for campers to utilize a firepit for their meals.

There are quite a few other independently owned bell tent options in and near Williams, so glampers have plenty of places to choose from!
