Former President Donald Trump announced on his social media platform last week that he was expecting to be arrested this Tuesday (today.)

Coincidentally, traffic on Trump’s social media platform, Truth Social, plummeted as soon as he announced his looming arrest.

“THE FAR & AWAY LEADING REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE AND FORMER PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, WILL BE ARRESTED ON TUESDAY OF NEXT WEEK. PROTEST, TAKE OUR NATION BACK!” – Former President Trump, Truth Social

As Tuesday comes to an end, and Trump has yet to be hauled away in handcuffs, it’s beginning to look as if Trump was either posing a publicity stunt or becoming nervous with New York’s deliberation on charging him.

Ironically, following the J6 repercussions, Trump was insinuating in his Truth Social post that people should rebel against his arrest should the Sheriff come for him.

Why is Trump being arrested? Back in 2016, adult entertainment actress Stormy Daniels came forward saying she was paid $130K in 2006 as ‘hush money’ for ‘interactions’ with Former President Trump, which isn’t illegal. What made this illegal was the funds being provided for by Trump’s then-attorney, Michael Cohen, and Trump notating the repayment as ‘legal fees.’ The misappropriation of funds is seen as falsifying business records and is a misdemeanor criminal offense.

Ultimately, this charge would also bring up an investigation around whether or not Trump violated election law. Concealing the records of the situation with Stormy Daniels would have dissolved the stigma of being involved with an adult entertainment actress, and dissuaded voters.

In all caps Trump pleads, “CAN YOU IMAGINE THE GREAT NEW YORK CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT, CORRECTLY REFERRED TO AS “NEW YORK CITY’S FINEST,” WHO, FOR THE FIRST AND ONLY TIME IN HISTORY, ENDORSED A PRESIDENT, ME, & HONORED ME AS “MAN OF THE YEAR,” HAVING TO DEFEND & PROTECT THE “DEFUNDERS” & “COP HATERS” OF THE RADICAL LEFT THAT WANT TO PUT THEIR GREATEST CHAMPION & FRIEND IN PRISON FOR A CRIME THAT DOESN’T EXIST…ALL THE WHILE THE SOROS BACKED D.A. ALLOWS MURDERERS & OTHER VIOLENT CRIMINALS TO FREELY ROAM THE SIDEWAKS OF N.Y.?”
