White School Bus Driver Fired After Being Caught on Camera Shoving Black Students

A white school bus driver recently went viral after he was caught on camera pushing two black siblings to the back of the bus.

The incident happened on September 9th after the bus driver, James O'Neil, told a 6-year-old black boy to sit at the back of the bus. When the boy failed to do so, O’Neil started to shove him. You can see his 10-year-old sister trying to reach out to her brother. The girl yells, “Stop pushing my brother,” as O'Neil continues to push the crying boy back into the seat repeatedly.

The girl asks again for O'Neil to stop pushing her brother, but then it appears that he shoves the girl, as well, causing her to stumble backward. The girl tells the bus driver to “get your hands off.” O’Neil tells her to shut her mouth as he continues to push her while saying, “What a pain in the neck you guys are. Get back there.”

According to reports, this goes against the regular practice of younger children sitting toward the front of the bus, and high school students usually sitting towards the back.

Following an investigation, O’Neil has since been fired, and he was arrested this past Friday.

Authorities have determined that there's no proof this incident was racially motivated; however, O’Neil will face battery charges when he appears in court.
