This program allows you to stay in the U.S. for up to 90 days, without the need for a visa.
A few days ago, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MINREL) announced that our country and the United States signed an execution agreement for the commitments acquired with the Visa Waiver Program, which maintains Chile's status in the program, allowing travelers to stay in the North American country for up to 90 days, without the need for a visa, only with an electronic travel authorization.
It should be noted that, according to MINREL data, since the incorporation of our country in the Visa Waiver Program, annually, about 350 thousand Chileans have benefited from it. And that number is no coincidence, according to data from KAYAK, the world's leading travel meta-search engine, the United States is the second most sought after international destination for Chileans to travel to for the rest of the year, surpassed only by Argentina.
But where do our compatriots prefer to travel to in the United States? The KAYAK team tells us which are the three destinations that Chileans have been looking for most recently to travel -between August 1 and December 31, 2023- to the northern country.
