National Night Out in Oracle, Az Oct. 5th, 2021

Bonnie Goldman

Oracle’s “National Night Out” – Oct. 5th 4:00-8:00 PM

Together we are making communities safer, more caring places to live. This is our Nation’s 39th community building campaign- that promotes police community partnerships. National Night Out triumphs over a culture that isolates us from each other and allows us to rediscover our own communities.

Millions of neighbors take part in National Night Out across thousands of communities from all fifty states, U.S. territories and military bases worldwide on the first Tuesday in August (Texas and Arizona and other select areas celebrate on the first Tuesday in October). Neighborhoods host block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts and various other community events with safety demonstrations, seminars, youth events, visits from emergency personnel, exhibits and much, much more.

The town of Oracle is having its first independent National Night Out. It will be held at the Oracle Community Center on Oct. 5th from 4:00-8:00 PM. There will be food and beverages provided by the Oracle Community Center, local Police & Fire Dept. demos, games, music (some of whom are our very own SBR residents), vendors, public service booths (SaddleBrooke Ranch Notary Club, Narcotics Anonymous, Sun Life Family Health, Copper Corridor Community Substance Abuse Coalition, etc.) and entertainment (come visit the ponies from Little Hooves), more to follow. We are graciously being supported by Crystal Nehrmeyer, Superintendent of the Oracle School District who will encourage all school age children of our community and surrounding areas to attend. This event is geared towards discouraging drug and alcohol use in our children and giving them all the resources they need to make healthy choices as they go through their adolescents and young adult lives.

SaddleBrooke Ranch is an important part of Oracle and as we grow in size will provide more need for the town’s resources. As we grow so does the town of Oracle.

If you would like to be a Volunteer, Food Vendor, Business Vendor, Resource Booth, or bring an activity contact the event coordinator Bonnie Goldman (520)818-3759 harvbon2@gmail.com. Please come and join us for a fun night out and very worthwhile event, Oct. 5th 4:00-8:00 PM at the Oracle Community Center in Oracle, AZ. For more info https://natw.org
