The easy butter and herbs baked oyster is a recipe that you can have anytime and anywhere. The goodness of the herbs and flavors of the butter with the baked oysters will burst in your mouth.


2 cups rock salt

one dozen fresh oysters

salted butter


chopped chives

lemon juice

lemon zest

sweet paprika

fresh parsley

2 to 3 wedges of lemon


Step 1

Preheat the oven and spread the rock salt on a baking sheet. It will keep the oyster shells from wobbling.

Step 2

Scrub the oyster shells with a stiff brush.

Step 3

Shuck the oysters carefully with a knife from the shells to remove the liquid and discard the top oyster shells. Arrange the oyster shells on the baking pan.

Step 4

Take a skillet and melt the butter and add in some breadcrumbs. Cook the breadcrumb until golden brown.

Step 5

Take a bowl and combine butter, lemon zest, chives, and lemon juice.

Step 6

Top each oyster with the lemon zest mixture and sprinkle the cooked breadcrumb on it. You can also sprinkle sweet paprika on the oysters.

Step 7

Bake the oysters in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes until golden brown. Sprinkle the baked oysters with freshly chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
