I read this book called, To Kill a Mockingbird which is a novel by Harper Lee. It narrates Scout Finch, a six-year-old tomboy who lives with her father. And her ten-year-old brother Jem. It was probably the book that encouraged me to read.
During the novel, Scout, Jem, and their friend Dill try to make their reclusive neighbor Boo Radley leave his house. I had to read out loud, and the story was so sad I was sobbing as I read, which made it even harder for me to get the words out and finish the story.
Even so, I carried on reading right to the end. Gradually, both her brothers learned valuable life lessons from their father on tolerance, empathy, and understanding. I would recommend others to read this novel!!
