Rolling Stones announced the death of Charlie Watts in an official statement on Tuesday. They expressed their sadness and grief over Watt’s death via the statement.

He was 80 when he took his last breaths in a hospital in London. Soon after the news went viral, several people paid their tribute to the Rolling Stones drummer. Several members of the Rolling Stones also paid a tribute to Charlie Watts. Frontman Mick Jagger shared a picture of Watts and paid a hearty tribute. Besides him, bandmate Keith Richards also shared a picture of a drum set with a “closed” sign on it, in order to pay a tribute. Moreover, Paul McCartney also said that he was really sad after hearing the news. He further added that Watts was a lovely guy. McCartney also said that he knew Watts was ill, but he didn’t know he was this ill. He sent his love and condolences to his wife, children, and extended family.

Although Charlie Watts was a graceful and amazing man, he was an excellent drummer from the 60s as well.
