The California Lottery reports a winner has claimed a top prize in the Instant Prize Crossword scratcher game. Miguel Palominos Contreras won one of those top prizes from a ticket purchased at Moa’s Service Center, a Chevron gas station located in Hayward.

Contreras is not the only one who will come out a winner from this lucky scratcher. For selling the winning ticket, Moa’s Service Center will receive a $10,000 bonus.

What is the Instant Prize Crossword scratcher game?

Instant Prize Crossword is a $20 scratcher that offers 32 top prizes of $2 million each. The game consists of two crossword puzzle grids that the ticket holder plays separately. The game also includes a “Fast $100 Spot” that gives the player the chance to win a quick $100.

Odds of winning a cash prize in the Instant Prize Crossword game are 1 in 5.29. The top prize is $2 million. As of the publishing of this article, 11 of the 32 top prizes have yet to be claimed.

The game also includes 64 prizes worth $25,000 and 67 prizes worth $10,000. Smaller prizes range from $5,000 down to a free ticket.
