This month, Café Boulud Palm Beach is toasting the start of season in South Florida with several special events —and lots of truffles.
The perfect way to get any foodie into the holiday spirit, the restaurant will kick off with its 15th Annual Truffle Dinner and Truffle Luncheon, followed by a lineup of holiday dining experiences for both Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
The event is so lavish, even chef/owner Daniel Boulud can't miss it. He'll be attending the annual truffle showcase himself, joining Palm Beach restaurant executive chef Dieter Samijn in preparing and presenting the decadent meal.
The Truffle Dinner and Luncheon with take place on Thursday, December 9 and Friday, December 10. A Café Boulud’s hallmark event, expect a personalized experience filled with lavish touches.
Dinner, priced at $600 per person, offers guests a chance to indulge black Périgord truffles and white truffles from Alba via a six-course prix fixe tasting menu paired with wines carefully selected by sommelier Imre Papp.
In keeping with the truffle theme, the main courses are all rich with flavor, catering to a variety of tastes. Dishes include a Choux a la Crème Aux Truffes; Taleggio gnocchi with white alba truffles, lobster, and parsley root; and black truffle-topped Dover sole. The Truffle Luncheon offers a similar experience with a five-course, prix fixe menu priced at $400 per person, showcasing a number of truffle delicacies.
Later in the month, Café Boulud will also host its annual Christmas Eve Dinner, which returns on Friday, December 24. The three-course holiday prix fixe menu is priced at $175 per person and offers guests an array of dishes, all with the classic French Boulud twist.
Start your dinner with dishes to share such as Truffles & Caviar; Florida Stone Crab Claws and Wild Belon Oysters. Select your appetizer from a lengthy list of Café’s classics – Roasted Beet Salad topped with chevre, pistachios and sourdough crostinis; Hamachi Tartare; Wild Maine Lobster and Foie Gras & Veal Marbre. For the main course, options include Black Truffle Agnolotti; Alaskan Halibut; G.A.R. Snapper; Honey Glazed Duck Breast and Braised Beef Short Rib. Finish the evening with a choice of desserts including Noix De Coco & Citron Vert; Châtaigne & Chocolat and Café & Tonka.
On Christmas Day, guests can also indulge in a special tasting with a festive three-course prix fixe brunch priced at $95 per person, or a prix fix three-course dinner featuring Café Boulud’s holiday selections from the Christmas Eve menu priced at $175 per person.
If New Year's is more your style, Café Boulud will also present a festive way to ring in 2022. The restaurant will host two distinct New Year’s events, including a pre-gala from 5 to 6:30 p.m. priced at $175 per person, with a four-course meal of Duck & Foie Gras Roulade or Chilled Maine Lobster Salad; Black Truffle Agnolotti; Dover Sole Viennoise, just to name a few. Finish the night with a choice of desserts including Framboise & Vanille and Yuzu & Noisette.
Afterwards, from 8:15 to 10 p.m., a gala will offer a five-course meal priced at $375 per person. At the stroke of midnight, guests will also raise a glass of Champagne to toast the New Year. New Year’s Day brunch festivities will start at 11 a.m., and will offer a three-course prix fixe menu for $95 per person, featuring a choice of petits fours, appetizer, entrée and a featured dessert.
