Immersive cartoon art, feel good vibes, and a $1,000 cup of coffee seem to be a thing during the 2021 Miami Art Week festival.

This week, Danny "Coolman Coffeedan" Casale, a Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree and Los Angeles-based artist, has teamed up with Marcel Katz of The Art Plug and Superlost Coffee for a special Art Basel exhibit in Miami Beach.

The goal: offer art and coffee lovers a chance of a lifetime with a special opportunity to own a unique piece of art — and a coffee experience like no other.

During the weeklong popup, a cup of this coffee will fetch $1,000, and will feature Superlost Coffee's Sidra, a special bean that is a mutation of the Bourbon heirloom variety originally discovered in Ecuador that was lost to time — until now. This exotic, big, fruity coffee is processed with a multi-stage fermentation cycle and will be served in a one-of-a-kind designed paper cup created upon purchase by Casale.

Widely recognized across social media for his surreal and humorous animations, Casale will debut his first ever physical artworks at the Art Basel exhibition running through Sunday, December 5 during at his temporary coffee shop pop-up dubbed Ur Special Coffee.

According to Casale, it's always been a dream to open his own coffee shop.

"Coffee culture has such a special place in my NYC heart," said Casale, who has over 10 million followers across various social media platforms. "It’s an atmosphere that inspired so many thought-leaders throughout history and influenced culture in beautiful ways. It’s where I’ve had my most creative moments as a young artist trying to figure it all out."

At Ur Special Coffee, coffee connoisseurs will have the opportunity to enjoy one of the most expensive cups of coffee in the world. Priced at $1,000, it's made with Superlost Coffee's brand new, high-quality bean from Colombia. The brand is known for sourcing and roasting rare and unique coffees, then showcasing them in bags that feature artwork by some of their favorite artists.

Each cup will feature one-of-a-kind original artwork created upon purchase by Coolman Coffeedan. Other menu items will be available for guests to eat, drink coffee and be fully immersed in Coolman Coffeedan’s "feel good" messaging.

"Our goal at Superlost Coffee is to elevate the everyday coffee experience by sourcing the highest quality beans from single farms and highlighting them through an artist’s vision," shares David Roa, CEO and cofounder of Superlost Coffee. "We tried to bring that positive energy into this collaboration and that’s what makes it special. This exhibit allows Coolman Coffeedan to create a one of a kind piece of artwork around an extremely interesting coffee."

"Art has the capacity to change the world," said Katz, whose Miami-based creative community is hosting the popup. "We’re excited to host an event the whole community can enjoy, and I’m thrilled to bring Coolman Coffeedan’s positive art to the public. The world needs more color. Let’s come together and spread good vibes."
