This week, Miami-based The Salty Donut has announced the location of its third South Florida shop.

Hot on the heels of the brand’s fifth store opening in Austin, Texas this August, Miami’s first and favorite artisanal donut shop will bring its craft donuts, innovative coffee program, and quirky sense of community that it’s known and loved for to West Palm’s rapidly growing foodie scene. Slated to open in West Palm Beach in spring 2022, The Salty Donut’s sixth store will open in Rosemary Square.

Since its pop-up opening in 2015, where donuts were sold out of a vintage 1950s Aljoa camper in a local parking lot, The Salty Donut has grown to be recognized locally and nationally, being named one of Thrillist’s "31 best donut shops in America." In 2018, co-founder Amanda Pizarro-Rodriguez was honored on Forbes 30 under 30 in 2018 under the Food & Drink category, highlighting the creativity and entrepreneurship behind the family-owned brand.

The sixth free-standing shop for the brand, The Salty Donut West Palm Beach will open alongside a growing list of sought after restaurants and brands. The store will offer the signature, decadent treats that have created the cult-like following in Miami and Texas, as well as some store-specific flavors inspired by the neighborhood and using homemade and locally-sourced ingredients.

"Nothing makes us happier than being able to open a store in our own ‘backyard’! Ever since we opened The Salty in 2015, being Miami-based & founded, we’ve had our eyes on the West Palm area and couldn’t imagine a better time to join such a vibrant atmosphere of top-notch culinary and retail concepts serving the community," said Andy Rodriguez, CEO and cofounder of The Salty Donut.

As with every location of The Salty Donut, the West Palm Beach shop is being uniquely designed to connect with the community by drawing from the surrounding neighborhood and city’s history to include local influences and motifs. The shop will boast a beachside cafe vibe, unique to this location inspired by its proximity to the ocean. Local artists and craftsmen have been tapped to create the signature Salty Donut look complete with picturesque murals and custom-made furniture.

In celebration of the brand’s expansion, The Salty Donut’s OG Aloja Camper will be popping up in Rosemary Square on Saturday, October 9, and Sunday, October 10, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. In the spirit of community — and as a way to connect with and meet the future West Palm Salty family — the team will be giving out FREE boxes of four (4) donuts and coffee to guests who pre-register online HERE, where they will be given a time slot for pick up. Please note that boxes will only be handed out to guests who reserve a slot online and there will be none reserved for walk-ups. Flavors available at the popup will include: Dragon + Passion Fruit, Cornflake Cereal Milk + Honey, Traditional Glazed, Hazelnut + Chocolate.
