The next time someone asks you where the best views are in downtown West Palm Beach, tell them Spruzzo, the city's first and only poolside bar and restaurant overlooking the water.
Located on the rooftop at The Ben hotel, Spruzzo offers sweeping views of the city's Intracoastal waterway stretch, with Palm Beach and the Atlantic Ocean beyond. Lucky for locals, the top deck is open to both hotel guests and the general public alike, meaning anyone can take a seat at the sleek alfresco bar and lounge space.
Reminscent of a Mediterranean destinaiton, Spruzzo immediately delivers vacation vibes — whether you're on local on staycation or a tourist soaking up the South Florida sun. A glass elevator will take you up and away from the downtown Clematis Street frenzy to one of West Palm Beach's best rooftop, poolside views.
High tops, lounge chairs and a 360-degree bar bring energy and casual glamour to the scenic open-air dining space. Here, anyone can enjoy a breezy, laid-back afternoon with poolside cocktails in private cabanas — or dance the night away when the space transforms into a sophisticated nightspot with a fire pit and live music after sunset.
“Spruzzo will highlight the best dishes of the coastal cities of Italy, France, and Spain, based on the European travelings of Gilded Age society, ” said The Ben general manager Bernardo Neto. “The concept is complemented by a prolific wine and cocktail menu and the best Intracoastal views in all of downtown will surely make Spruzzo one of the most sought-after destinations in West Palm Beach.”
The menu at Spruzzo is centered on shareable dishes and small plates, offering a blend of influences from Italian and French to Spanish. Highlights include steamed Holllander mussels, charred Spanish octopus, Wahoo poke, skirt steak churrasco, and roasted Brussels sprouts. An extensive raw bar and signature seafood tower of lobster, prawns, oysters, and King Crab legs are also offered throughout the day.
If you're only here to imbibe, a fresh and inventive cocktail and mocktail list presents a generous selection of global wines, spirits, and local craft beers. The Amalfi Sipper, for example, features Bullet Rye, Nonino Amaro, lemon, Figenza Fig, and prosecco while Storms over Sicily combines Grey Goose, Montenegro Amaro, grapefruit, ginger beer, and lime. Housemade limoncello and the Sangria of the Moment are also available.
As downtown West Palm Beach’s first waterfront hotel, the 208-room hotel is part of Marriott International’s Autograph Collection featuring two on-site dining concpets, a 24-hour fitness center, rooftop pool with private cabanas and an outdoor fire pit, and expansive views of the Intracoastal Waterway from nearly every floor-to-ceiling window along the hotel’s east side.
