You can get vegan sushi, ceviches, and pizzas — all prepared with zero animal products — when this popular plant-based restaurant opens in West Palm Beach's Rosemary Square later this month.
Planta will open the newest location of its flagship restaurant on Tuesday, April 13. This will be the first Palm Beach County location for the Miami- and Toronto-based vegan-friendly restaurant, which has locations in Miami Beach and Coconut Grove. The 200-seat eatery will be the group’s seventh restaurant, and the only 100 percent vegan resaurant in Rosemary Square.
According to Planta co-founders founders, CEO Steven Salm and execuive chef David Lee, Planta is primed for explosive growth in the coming years, with a number of new locations planned for outside the state. Poised for significant growth in the years to come, Planta will also open locations in Bethesda, Maryland and New York City following its West Palm Beach debut.
"Plant-based dining is the future, and Planta is leading the charge with our inventive takes on every type of dish you can imagine," says Salm. "Growing our restaurant group while reducing our guest's carbon footprint is exactly what the world needs right now."
Since 2016, the group’s exceptional plant-based dining experiences have garnered a loyal following and grown to feature six restaurants in Toronto and Miami, including its sister concpets Planta Queen (the group's Asian-focused restaurant), Planta Burger (the group's burger-centric eatery), and Planta Cocina (the group's Mexican-inspired concept). Each experience celebrates the dynamic vibrancy of vegetables, with a focus on a fun, modern approach and a commitment to food producers that value environmental sustainability and ethical practices.
In November 2020, the group also introduced Planta at Home, offering their signature favorites available for delivery nationwide to both the United States and Canada.
Championing its own "non-vegan" approach to plant-based eating, Lee satisfies a wide range of palates and appetites, all while making sure guests can see, taste, and pronounce every organic ingredient that goes into the dish.
Highlights from the menu include Coconut Ceviche, Kelp Caesar, Steamed Dumplings, Bang Bang Broccoli, Udon Noodles, Eggplant Lasagna, Planta's signature Burger, and a selection of pizzas including the famous Shroomami or Bianca, and more.
In addition, Planta offers a unique sushi bar experience where customers can order a variety of sushi and nigiri made of plant-based ingredients featuring ingredients like dehydrated watermelon that acts as fatty tuna — an experience that's sure to play a <pleasant> trick on both your mind and senses.
