This weekend we should be free of rain, when you have sunshine and warm weather there is no excuse but to have fun. In the metro Detroit area there is always something going on whether it is on Woodward, downtown Royal Oak, or downtown Detroit.
This weekend it will be Royal Oak since their social district is opening up. The social district will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. which are great hours to experience everything. There will be many things to do such as Motor City Gas, Gusoline Alley, Rock on 3rd, and Oak Grille just to name a few.
The main goal is to show support to local businesses that have been around for years and local businesses that are just starting out. It is important to support small businesses because they are turning their dream into a reality.
Royal Oak will be introducing new ways to support different businesses, just recently they introduced patio zones which are hosted in Ferndale. Patio zones focus on two zones the west and east zone.
The businesses that participate in patio zones are Corner, Grill & Detroit Axe, The Rust Belt Market, Brooks Brewing, The Oakland, Anita’s Kitchen, Assiggi Bistro, J’s Penalty Box, and Valentine Distilling Co. just to name a few.
The social district and patio zones are both open to people who are interested in having an event and want to be featured. If you have nothing planned for this weekend, don’t hesitate to have some fun and enjoy good food and scenery.
