We go through life constantly evolving every ninety days. Some days we’re happy, sad, outgoing, easygoing or just quiet.

The way we communicate can change depending on what has transpired in our lives or what we have seen someone else experience.

Communication is a beautiful thing, it allows you to express how you feel, what you feel, and how you want to be treated.

Being able to express what you are feeling is a gift on it’s own because; you are allowing your thoughts and words to be acknowledged and felt by the person you are communicating with.

In addition, communication is not just verbal there is non-verbal communication as well that comes into play. To let someone know how you feel you do not have to use your words, a look can be sufficient.

Like I previously stated each chakra serves a different purpose within our spiritual, mental, and physical world.

It is important to learn how your body communicates with each chakra and it is important to be aware of the signs of your chakras being unaligned.

Today, we are going to get familiar with the throat chakra; this is one of my favorite chakra because it focuses on speaking your inner truth.

This chakra helps you connect to vibrating at a higher frequency, higher vibration, develop a healthy internal dialogue and strong social skills. The throat chakra holds nothing back.

The throat chakra is the fifth chakra, this chakra is located at the base of your throat near the thyroid, jaw, neck, mouth, tongue, larynx and parathyroid.

The lovely chakra focuses on speaking what your thoughts and emotions are silently bringing together. The throat allows you to speak, listen and express yourself freely without feeling judged.

When you have a balanced throat chakra you will express freely, your vocabulary will increase, and you will use more positive words instead of negative.

With certain life experiences it can be easy to lose ourselves and how we communicate. This can happen if we have been abused, made fun of or if someone has made us feel as if our opinion or voice does not count.

One of the best ways to get your throat chakra out of a funk would be to practice saying nice and positive things.

For example, start setting aside some time to speak aloud throat affirmations, such as “I feel comfortable speaking my mind, I am an active listener, or I speak my true thoughts with clarity.”

Get in the routine of speaking up and coming out of your shell, so you can feel confident with your thoughts and emotions.

This chakra gives you the freedom to be you regardless what stage of life you are in.

As stated in a previous article we have seven main chakras, and each chakra is attached to a different color.

The throat chakra is connected to the chakra color bright blue, this chakra focuses on the element of space.

One of the many ways to keep your throat chakra balanced is to try the shoulder stand yoga pose or plow pose.

Both yoga poses are great when you want to stimulate your thyroid gland, increase oxygen, and help the abdominal organs. These poses will awaken the throat chakra instantly.

You also have the option of meditating with stones or just allowing yourself to be present. Taking five minutes out of your day is tremendously beneficial for your throat chakra.

This will help you take a step back and acknowledge where you need to set boundaries, how to find your voice and how you can build your confidence.
