Drag Up Fight Back March San Francisco 2023 - Part 1
Welcome to my coverage of the Drag Up Fight Back March in San Francisco! In this video, I'll take you through the sights and sounds of this powerful event, which brought together members of the LGBTQ+ community and their allies in a powerful show of resistance and solidarity. The march began in the heart of the city at City Hall and went down Market Street ending in Union Square. Participants came dressed in their most colorful and creative outfits, with many carrying signs and banners bearing messages of love, acceptance, and defiance. This event was also a celebration of life for Stefan Grygelko (June 17, 1967 – April 3, 2023), better known by the stage name Heklina, who was an American actor, drag queen, and entrepreneur in San Francisco. As the march wound its way through the streets, chants of "Drag up, fight back!" and "Trans rights are human rights!" echoed through the crowds.
