Discover the Fascinating History of the Presidential Yacht USS Potomac -Part 3

A complete tour of the USS Potomac. The USS Potomac was the Presidential yacht of US President Franklin D. Roosevelt. Commissioned in 1934, it served as the floating White House for Roosevelt until his death in 1945. The yacht was used for a variety of purposes, including fishing trips, vacations, and diplomatic meetings. After Roosevelt's death, the USS Potomac was decommissioned and sold several times, eventually falling into disrepair. In the 1990s, a group of volunteers restored the yacht to its original condition, and it is now preserved as a museum ship in Oakland, California. A special thanks to Ford and Tom for giving me a full tour of the ship.
