Hollywood is the place where the magic happens.

And it happened again with the new action thriller movie Nobody.

The Hollywoodian production company Universal went big this time and made possible one of the best action movies of 2021.

This movie went big.

As of June 16, 2021, Nobody has grossed $26.2 million in the United States and Canada, and $35.4 million in other territories, for a worldwide total of $61.6 million, against a production budget of $16 million.

Earnings that underline the great quality of this movie and its plot.

Nobody was originally planned for the release in the United States in August 2020.

It was rescheduled multiple due to the restrictions imposed for the pandemic.

The movie was released in theaters on March 26, 2021.

The film stars Bob Odenkirk, Connie Nielsen, Aleksei Serebryakov, RZA, Michael Ironside, Colin Salmon, and Christopher Lloyd.

It has received positive reviews from the critics, who liked the performance of Bob Odenkirk as the main character and all the action involved in the movie.

The plot.

The plot is about a former CIA operative who decides to retire and assumes the cover of an average man with an average and quiet life.

Acting as Hutch "Nobody" Mansell, a former government assassin for the CIA, Bob Odenkirk performs as the main character.

Odenkirk's character is seen in multiple scenes fighting for his life and stopping everything that comes against him.

The cast also includes the beautiful Connie Nielsen, Rebecca "Becca" Mansell, Hutch's successful wife and principal love interest.

Aleksei Serebryakov plays the role of Yulian Kuznetsov, a Russian Mob boss guarding Obshak, who is targeting Hutch and his family.

From Los Angeles to Canada.

The principal photography of Nobody was developed in Hollywood, Los Angeles.

While the last scenes were recorded in Canada.

The whole movie production took just thirty-four days.

Compared to the average of Hollywood films, it is a short time considering the success in theatres.

The critics love it.

The Hollywood Reporter John DeFore praised the film by appreciating the enjoyably absurd violence.

He wrote:

Taking itself much less seriously than the Taken series and its predecessors, it's a wish-fulfillment romp just as ludicrous as any of them but more fun than most.

Richard Roeper of the Chicago Sun-Times gave the film 3 out of 4 stars, writing:

Most impressive of all is Odenkirk, who looks and sounds nothing like an action star until it's time for Hutch to become an action star, and we totally believe this physically unimpressive, normally mild-mannered guy as a simmering cauldron of rage who could take that teapot over there and kill ya with it.

Imagine your neighbor suddenly going from sadly running after the trash truck to a sort of ninja ready to fight whoever comes in between him and his family.

I am a fan of this kind of movie: I have seen the whole Taken series, John Wick...but this one has the perfect doses of humor mixed with spectacular action stunts.

Among my favorite scenes, the one in the tube when he steps in to protect a girl.

In Los Angeles, where the assaults towards women are every day more and more frequent, it was lovely to see those thugs being taken care of by our hero Hutch on the big screen.

John Wick and Nobody.

The movie has some great scenes, from the first minute to the last one.

And the best; it's original and makes a hero out of an average person.

The producer David Leitch, who also produced John Wick, proves again that action movies can be fun.

One of the most iconic quotes from the movie is also the one that gave the name to the whole production.

When asked by the police about his real identity, Hutch promptly answers: "Me? I am a Nobody."
