Beef soup or caldo de res or nilagang baka
Typically served on cold winter nights, but also great during summer, beef soup was what we had for dinner last night. Very simple to make. Just chuck roast cut into cubes and slow cooked on water with sauteed onion and garlic and seasoned with beef seasoning for about an hour. Then I added corn, chayote, potatoes, carrots and cabbage.
