Festive ham for Christmas or New Year

Many of our friends prepare ham for Christmas, we usually do ham for the New Year and standing rib roast for Christmas. Ham is one of the thirteen lucky foods we prepare to welcome the coming year because pork is supposed to be lucky and the round-shaped pineapple slices and cherries are supposed to be lucky as well.
