Vegetable garden tour and harvest for beef soup

Come join me for a quick garden tour while I harvest some leafy vegetables to put on our soup for dinner. Some mustard spinach, tatsoi, bok choy, purple Osaka mustard and purple pak choy. I am making a pot of beef soup with potatoes and veggies. A perfect recipe on a cold rainy winter night. If you are interested in growing your own food and wondering how to start an edible garden, I would start with a raised bed. Raised bed gardening is way easier — easier to control the soil moisture and pH level as well as the pests like slugs, snails and rollie poppies. I like growing vegetables on 4 ft by 4 ft raised beds. What to grow in the garden? The possibilities are endless especially if you are in growing zones with mild winters like California. Happy gardening and cooking! 🌱
