With the covid vaccine being available to those in a vast group of people, one would not think that a specific section of this group would stand out. But yes, one group has been more successful at optaining the covid vaccine in South Carolina than any other. No one knows why for sure, but many have speculated the reasons. It is now stated by DHEC authorities that 1 in 10 people in South Carolina has now been vaccinated as of today.

There has always been differences in men and women, but this one was unexpected. Women are lining up to get the covid vaccine much more than men. There are many factors that could come into play - age, work schedules, tenacity or one of many reasons This is a huge divide not preivously expected by health officials. .

Almost, 60 percent of the people who have gotten at least one dose of the covid vaccine in South Carolina are women, according to data released this week by the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control.

A member of the state’s vaccine advisory committee stated during a weekly meeting this fact. They offered the observation that the difference could possibly be attributed to the fact that a majority of the health care workforce in South Carolia is currently comprised of mostly females. Health care workers are in the group to get the first doses of the covid vaccine in South Carolina.

Most feel that the reasons are more of a female nature. They are just more willing to go out and get it done.

Comment below why you think more women have received the covid vaccine in South Carolina.
