Moving to Cleveland, advice on rentals?
I landed a tech job in Cleveland area and will be moving there in a few months. I figure for the first year, I'll just rent an apartment while I get my bearings, and then decide where to buy permanently. I know that asking for general advice is too broad, so I'm mostly curious if you have intuition around price range and how to choose a rental property, particularly as I probably can't even visit before committing to moving in (assuming COVID doesn't subside soon).

In reading about the issues with Platform Brewing, I’ve seen several people mention that some other local breweries are not run so well and there’s a lot of turnover. None were really name dropped though. On the other hand, you have those who definitely deserve some praise.
Read full storyI will be in Cleveland next week for work. What is some of the best things to see/do while I'm there?
Next week I'm going to be in Cleveland for work, downtown Cleveland specifically. I've never been to your city and was wondering what there is to do or see. I'll be looking for things to do in the evenings mostly and near downtown as my company isn't renting me a car so walking or Uber and such will be how I get around. I want to try Skyline Chili but thats all I know Ohio for.

Anyone know of any good whiskey bars in the downtown/tremont/ohio city area?. I heard that Woodstock bbq in Lakewood has a pretty impressive whiskey list that’s super inexpensive. Plus, they are a dollar off on Thursday.

Read full storyIs the Luckman really that bad?
Hey everyone, I'm moving to Cleveland at the end of the month and looking for apartments. I'm attracted to the Luckman because of it's downtown location, the rooftop pool, and the fact that they offer lease terms less than 12 months, but I've obviously heard a lot of complaints. I've lived in "corporate" "luxury" type apartment buildings before and never really had to deal with management, I don't usually have issues with breaking stuff in my apartments haha but I've heard the Luckman has pretty bad management. So I'm wondering if you guys have strong feelings one way or the other about living there and if you have recommendations for other places that are downtown (closer to Progressive field the better) where I can get a studio or 1 bedroom for under $1100/mo with flexible lease terms. Thanks for any help, I've never been to Cleveland before but I'm super excited to make the move, after living in LA for a while I'm glad to be getting back to the midwest!
