I finally get the weekend fun I've been craving. A day trip to the Renaissance Fair. So many of my friends go every year and some even performed at the fair.

I have been writing a lot about places to go and things to do in Georgia because I want to remind people to go out and have fun. It may be difficult for a while but I believe that some time out will do everyone some good.

So here are some fun things going on this coming weekend, right here in Georgia.

1. The Georgia Renaissance Festival: Or just Ren Fair for short. People dress up as fairies, pirates, and Vikings and walk about the festival exploring all the fun activities.

For the kids, they have rides, games, and a petting zoo. There are artisan demonstrations where people show how to make crafts from the Renaissance period. There is plenty of entertainment where you can watch a jousting match and delicious food.

Tickets are $19.00 online.

2. Atlanta R&B Wine, Food, & Music Festival: This is for those who want to have a relaxing day out around other grownups.

On May 29, from noon to 6:00 PM, spend the day in Decatur listening to live R&B bands, and drinking with friends. There are food vendors from around the local area, and they have a sip and paint session for those who want to get creative.

Tickets are only $30.00 and you get a souvenir wine glass.

3. Downtown Tuckers Happy Hour Comedy Show: Anyone in the Tucker area that wants something closer to home. A comedy show is just the thing to release some stress and laugh.

BlueTarp and High Card Brewing have teamed up to give you an hour-long, stand-up comedy show. For $15.00, you get a local beer and comedians from all over the US. Plus, the whole event is hosted by our local award-winning comedian, Joel Byars.

4. The Duluth Arts Festival: This festival celebrates local artists from Duluth and around the area. There will be 86 painters, sculptors, metalwork, glass artists, and more.

It's a two-day festival starting Saturday to Sunday, and it's free admission. There will be live music, dance performances, and food trucks. Food is considered an art form too.

I'm very excited about having a fun day out. Everything has been so stressful lately. But a fun day out with the one I love will be great. Hope you find a fun activity to do this weekend.

Stay Safe Everyone.
