Easter is coming soon and that means egg hunts.
Many parents want their kids to enjoy the tradition of finding eggs full of candy and chocolate. So where are all the Easter egg hunt events? All over the place actually. Whether you perfer a small church egg hunt, or a citywide egg hunt in the park.
For those of you who live in the Tucker area, I have all the Easter egg hunt events here for you. I also have some very unique egg hunts for those of you who want to travel somewhere for fun.
Commuity Easter Egg Hunt: Located at Fitzgerald Field, hosted by Tucker First Methodist Church. The hunt starts at 12:30 PM - 4:00 PM but you are welcome to come early for the 11:00 AM worship service.
Easter Story Experience Drive-Thru: When you go through this drive through, you are given eggs that contain different parts of the ressurection story. At the end of the story, all the kids recieve a bag of candy! Hosted by Lilburn Alliance Church. On Saturday at 4:00PM- 6:00PM.
City of Tucker Egg Hunt: Tucker Parks and Recreation is hosting a Easter egg hunt Saturday at 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM. The hunt goes by ages. Kids ages two to five years old will go out from 9:00 - 10:00, kids ages six to 12 will go out 10:00 - 12:00. The Easter bunny will make an apperance, so your children will be able to take a picture with him.
Family Fun Easter Weekend: This event is hosted by Stone Mountain Mall. It's a two day event that starts on April 3rd at 11:00AM to April 4th, 6:00PM. There will be face-painting, games, and even free hair cuts for Easter Sunday. Everything there is free, from food to Easter egg coloring.
There are so many fun things to do there, if you are looking for something more than just an egg hunt.
Easter for Grownups: Just because you are all grown up does not mean you can't enjoy the festivities. It starts Saturday at 7:00PM - 10:00PM. This event is hosted by Heck House and they offer prices between $40 - $100 for tables that are 6 feet apart. They will have a 'Sunday's Worst' costume contest where you can win prizes in 3 different catagories. This is a BYOB event.
Natural Egg Dyeing: This event is hosted by the Atlanta Botanical Garden. On Friday, April 2 at 10:00AM - 12:00 noon. Learn about what plants you can use to make a natural dye for eggs.
You do have to pay $6, plus an admission fee depending on the age. Still worth looking into for smaller families and couples.
Easter Brunch and Egg Hunt: Nothing better than a day at the park. Piedmont Park is hosting a brunch buffet and egg hunt Easter Sunday. From 11:00AM - 4:00PM, you can enjoy your favorite meal while over looking the Midtown Skyline. At noon, the Easter bunny will come by for pictures and to start the egg hunt.
It's $50 for adults and $60 for VIP, which includes mimosas until 3:00PM.
There are more events all over Georgia that you and your family can enjoy. But if you are not ready to go out, then a small Easter feast and and egg hunt at home is just as fun.
