The online shopping frenzy has begun as Christmas is getting closer. Amazon and eBay are taking thousands of orders by the second. Everyone is trying to find gifts for all their loved ones.

Especially the loved ones who are essential workers. These are people who risk their health every day so that others can have a sense of normalcy. I have many friends who work outside the house, including my partner Jack.

So what do you get an essential worker for Christmas?

Well, I have a list.

For the Construction Worker

1. The Huepar Self-Leveling Laser Leveler. So, this high-tech leveler uses a projector that cast a green laser 360 degrees around. It has both horizontal and vertical leveling. And can line a whole room in seconds.

It has a multifunctional mode, shockproof, and comes with a 12-month warranty.

This is more on the high end for $127.00 on Amazon. So, probably save that for someone super close to you if you're willing to spend the dough.

2. Carhartt Legacy Tool Bag. This tool bag is built to last. The 18-inch molded, abrasion-proof base keeps it from slouching over. It comes with 28 external pockets and a large main compartment that zips up.

It keeps everything neat and organized for the next project. On Amazon, the Carhartt Tool Bag is on sale for $99. And with long-lasting durability, it's worth the price. But if you want to keep it simple, try this next gift.

3. ROCKNIGHT Driving HD Polarized Sunglasses. These sunglasses prevent glare and reflective light. They are great for working outside when it's bright. They reduce eye fatigue and are designed for driving with 100% UV protection.

At $24.00, they are an affordable and thoughtful gift.

Gifts For The Grocery Store Worker

4. A funny mug. I was not expecting a whole Etsy store dedicated to honoring grocery clerks. But I found it thanks to a google search. They are very cute and hilarious. These mugs are a great way for grocery clerks to start their day and lift their spirits.

Prices range from $10.00 - $34.00. Be sure to get them as soon as possible. Some sellers on Etsy take more time to deliver than others.

For the Virtual Teachers

5. Gift Cards. My mother was a special need high school teacher for 25 years. She often enjoyed the gift cards she would get from grateful parents.

Target, Khols, TJ Maxx, Amazon, and even local restaurants are great places for getting gift cards. Your child's teacher will appreciate the gesture.

Gift cards, in general, are always a good idea for gifts. Even in casual conversation, you can figure out a person's favorite shops and local stores.

6. Yankee Candles. These candles are addictive. Every teacher I had was excited about receiving a Yankee Candle for the holidays. Right now, they are having a sale and even I got sucked into all the different scents.

Literally, as I was writing this I kept going back to the site because of all the cool new stuff they have. So, yeah. This would be a great gift for educators and educator adjacent people.

7. Teacher Themed Gifts. The Paper Source is an online store that has great gifts for teachers. Coffee cups, pencils, notebooks, and water bottles shaped like apples. Very cute gifts at reasonable prices.

For the Hospital Worker

8. YETI Tumbler. This YETI tumbler is perfect for the nurse or doctor on the go. With reinforced steel and a slider top, it keeps hot drinks hot and cold drinks from sweating.

It's a reasonable gift for $29.00 and comes in ten different colors. You can get them at Dick's Sporting Goods.

9. CraveBox Care Package. This care package includes an assortment of high-protein snacks to help hospital staff stay fueled up. There are 45 different kinds of goodies like chips, cookies, and popcorn.

I was surprised to find that Groupon had so many great gifts for different occasions. This care package is around $100. But there are other sites where can find different types of care packages.

10. Maruse Leather Portfolio. This hand-crafted Italian leather portfolio is on the higher end. But it's elegant and professional design makes a great gift for a young doctor. It comes in four different colors (Black, navy, brown, and tan).

It's made to fit a notepad, writing utensils, and a tablet. The zipper closure ensures the contents are secure.

So, I hope everyone shows appreciation for their loved ones who are out working. Stay safe and happy holidays! #nbholidaycheer
