The Cajun Pecan House has been around for more than 30 years. Originally, this place only sold shelled pecans and pralines made the old-fashioned way. Since the first time the store opened, they have been improving the menu. They added king cakes for Mardi Gras, fruitcakes for Christmas, birthday cakes, and more.

Here, cakes and cookies are made from the number one quality ingredients every day. Aside from baked goods and sweets, they also sell home decors and gifts. A florist is available as well.

NINETTE’S CAKE SHOP

This family-owned cake shop was originally established in Schriever, less than five miles from Thibodaux, in 1980. Ninette’s Cake Shop is currently owned by the third generation, Robin Hebert Albares. Some of their best-sellers are boudin hand pie, French Macarons, brownies that melt in the mouth, custom cakes, and wedding cakes.

The passed-down recipe remains the same from the first time the shop opens. The baked goods are tasty and have good qualities. You can bring one of their specialties home or just have a quick bite.

Weeping Willow Cafe opened for the first time in 2011. Some of their specialties are sandwiches, desserts, and coffee are available for you to taste on the place or take away. The ingredients used for the menu are always fresh and of prime quality. The coffee beans are freshly roasted as well, providing the characteristic of the taste.
