NEW ORLEANS, LA - Beauregard-Keyes Historic House & Gardens returns for its annual fundraising event “Soirée in the Vieux Carré”. The event will take place at the Beauregard-Keyes Historic House & Gardens Sunday, 12 September 2021 from 5 p.m – 8 p.m.
This year’s event is aimed to continue preserving and maintaining the architectural gem of the French Quarter, mainly to benefit the ongoing restoration of the main building's envelope, specifically the Ursuline Street or Garden-facing facade, including window and shutter replacement, stucco, and masonry repairs.
Palate New Orleans will serve a delicious Sunday supper, and Bon Bon Vivant and The Last Straws will perform outside. Attendees will also get a first look at Frances Parkinson Keyes' newly restored dependency, where she lived and wrote famous novels such as Dinner at Antoines until her death in 1970.
According to Annie Irvin, BK executive director, Covid protocols will be strictly enforced, and attendees will be required to mask up and show proof of vaccination or negative Covid testing results 72 hours prior to the Soirée. “Our historic property is a living, ongoing preservation project that requires painstaking accuracy and authenticity and use of skilled craftsmen for repairs and construction,” Irvin explained. “Our annual fundraiser is essential, as well as support from foundations, corporations, and individuals is paramount to our survival and ability to offer varied programming.”
You can book tickets or sponsor this event with different levels range from $250 per couple to $15,000, with benefits commensurate with each level, and can be purchased in advance subject to availability. Attendees aged 40 and under can get two tickets for $150, and an individual ticket for $75.
