NEW ORLEANS, LA - On August 18, 2021, the Greater New Orleans Foundation announced its new Vice President for Communications and Public Affairs, Jeff Schiffman.
The Greater New Orleans Foundation (Foundation) is a philanthropic organization that has been established for over 90 years. The Foundation work to provide a positive impact to the community through philanthropy, leadership, and action.
The President and CEO of the Greater New Orleans Foundation, Andy Kopplin said that he is excited to have Jeff join the Foundation and that his experience, as well as his storytelling and leadership skills, would be a tremendous asset for the Foundation.
Jeff Schiffman previously worked at Tulane University's Office of Undergraduate Admission as the Director of Admission. At the university, Schiffman oversaw most of the marketing and communication efforts of the university's admission recruitment cycle. Throughout his 16-year tenure at the university, he directed major scholarship programs and supervised the International Admission teams and the media.
Schiffman also crafted a communication plan for the university which attracted more than 26,000 students and created a positive change in the diversity of Tulane University's student body. Tulane University recorded 45,000 applications and increased the diversity of its students during Schiffman's tenure as the director.
Schiffman earned his Bachelor's degree of Science in Management from Tulane's A. B. Freeman School of Business, and earned his Master's degree from Tulane's School of Professional Advancement, majoring in Liberal Arts.
Schiffman said “Reading the Foundation’s mission to create a vibrant, sustainable and just region for all was what immediately attracted me to starting my new career here. It’s been a dream come true to get to work at a place that creates such a lasting, positive impact on our greater community.”
