NEW ORLEANS, LA - Run a fun 5K with the beautiful view of Northshore for a good cause in the 2021 Big Easy Big Heart 5K. This event is brought to you by Q50 Race and New Orleans Missions' Giving Hope Retreat, on Saturday, July 17 in Fontainebleau State Park.

New Orleans Mission (NOM) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) Christian Humanitarian Organization dedicated to fighting poverty, hunger, homelessness, exploitation, and oppression. They provide food, clothing, home, medical care, and other necessities for those in need.

Profits of the event will benefit the NOM's Giving Hope Retreat. Set in Lacombe near Fontainebleau State Park, it serves people of the New Orleans Mission who suffer from addiction, mental illness, and abuse. It offers rescue, rehabilitation, and reconnecting with the community.

This event takes place in Fountainebleau State Park, at 62883 Hwy. 1089, Mandeville, LA. If you are interested to join as a participant, register online here for $45. Online registration closes on Wednesday, July 14th.

This event is free for spectators. Park entry is $3 for everyone. The New Orleans Mission will provide participants with a T-shirt, food, and drinks. Offline registration and packet pick-up start from 7.00 a.m. to 8.30 a.m. The race will start at 9.00 a.m. and finish at noon.

By joining this event, you will aid in helping those in need of the healing process by providing a haven outside the city. This will remove the individuals from the environments that can hinder their progress. For more information about the Giving Hope Retreat Center, check out their website.
