NEW ORLEANS, LA — The fifth annual Beignet Fest is set to kick off New Orleans' major fall festival season on Saturday, September 25, 2021, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Following a year off due to the COVID-19 pandemic, organizers will return to the Festival Grounds at New Orleans City Park.

Local favorites are represented on the musical entertainment lineup, which includes:

  • Daria & The Hip Drops (10:15 a.m.)
  • Imagination Movers (11:40 a.m.)
  • Marc Stone 3 (1:20 p.m.)
  • TBC Brass Band (3:00 p.m.)
  • Bo Dollis Jr. and the Wild Magnolias (4:40 p.m.)

The Abita Beer Garden, a sensory-friendly Kids Village, and a Resource Walk for children of all abilities are also planned for Beignet Fest 2021. This year will also see the return of the Artist Market, which will feature local, handcrafted arts and crafts for sale. Attendees will be able to vote for their favorite beignets in these categories: Best Sweet Beignet and Best Savory Beignet. There is also the Judge's Favorite category, which is decided by a local panel of food influencers.

Beignet Fest, a Tres Doux Foundation fundraiser, serves a sweet cause, with proceeds benefiting community programs that help children with autism and related developmental differences. Last year, the Tres Doux Foundation assisted in coordinating and funding virtual programming for children and their parents to assist families in coping with the changes in education brought about by pandemic-related restrictions.

This year's Beignet Fest admission will be $20 per person in order to continue to grow and fulfill its mission. Children under the age of four are admitted for free when accompanied by a paying adult.

Beignet Fest 2021 is supported by Gambel Communications, the New Orleans Tourism and Culture Fund, The Times-Picayune and nola.com, Gulf Coast Bank, Abita Beer, WWL-TV and other generous local donors.
