NEW ORLEANS, LA — The Ogden Museum of Southern Art is looking for docent volunteers.
The docent will lead a tour for visitors and help them feel “The South” through visual arts. Anyone interested in the program may register before September.
The docent will have to introduce Southern art, history, and culture to the visitors. They will also help visitors discover their own interpretations of art. Therefore, they must have an interest in art and Southern culture.
The docent will have to share the history of art museums with visitors. The target audience will be people of all ages, including kids and adults.
Interested participants must submit a docent application to participate in the program. Applicants may fill an online application form or download them to register.
Applicants who download the application may either send them via mail to Ogden Museum of Southern Art, 925 Camp Street, New Orleans, LA 70130, Attention: Docent Coordinator, or send them by email to firstname.lastname@example.org.

Then, they will start their volunteering by making a commitment of two years to the Museum. They will need to commit to giving a minimum of two hours per month or 4 hours at events.
