Teen screams make up only a small part of the horror movie genre. What considers a movie to be put in the teen scream category? Films that are considered teen screams include movies that are set in a high school or college setting. Or, featuring characters that are young adults or teenagers.

Carrie (1976)

Based on the book by Stephen King, comes a tale about a high school student, Carrie White, that soon finds out that she has teleknesis. After being asked to the prom by a popular boy in school, she has to convince her strict and very religious mother to let her go. However, prom doesn’t go exactly as planned due to a very jealous popular girl.
