Person in custody after climbing Detroit's Renaissance Center
The Detroit Police Department has one person in custody after they climbed the outside of the Renaissance Center in downtown Detroit on Sunday.
Police say they are questioning the climber to figure out a motive and will release more information as it becomes available.
Monday marks Michigan's $400 auto insurance refund check deadline
The deadline for Michigan's $400 auto insurance refund checks to arrive for state drivers is Monday.
According to Anita Fox, Director of the state's Department of Insurance and Financial Services, anyone who hasn't their refund should reach out to their insurance company before reaching out to them.
"If you are eligible for a refund and do not receive it by May 9, be sure to contact your insurance company to ensure it has been issued," Fox said. "If you cannot reach a resolution with your insurance company, or if your insurer offers your refund through something other than a paper check or ACH deposit, call DIFS at 833-ASK-DIFS."
Lions sign Aidan Hutchinson to guaranteed $35.7 million contract
Aidan Hutchinson, the No. 2 pick of last month's NFL draft, has signed a four-year contract worth $35.7 million Monday, according to his agent Mike McCartney.
Hutchinson's contract also includes a $23.1 million signing bonus.
Mother Nature's mercy: Michigan to enjoy warm, sunny week
According to the National Weather Service, southeastern Michigan temperatures will stay in the low- to mid-70s until Wednesday.
Temperatures will then begin to increase until they reach 80 degrees on Friday afternoon.
