Detroit Red Wings set to host season opener against Tampa Bay Lightning
On Thursday, the Detroit Red Wings will play their first game of the 2021-22 NHL season against the reigning NHL champion Tampa Bay Lightning at Little Ceasars Arena.
The game will begin at 7:30 p.m. ET and can be watched on Bally Sports Detroit.
Detroit sends out warning to residents about free home scam
The City of Detroit is warning residents about a housing hoax orchestrated by a man named Ramzu Yunus.
The hoax offers free homes in the city, and City Attorney Lawrence Garcia referred to Yunus as dangerous following his recent involvement in an armed stand-off.
Metro Detroit restaurant is the only one from Michigan to make New York Times' top 50 list
AlTayeb, a Lebanese restaurant on Warren Avenue in Dearborn, was the only Michigan eatery to make the New York Times' top 50 restaurant list.
The restaurant's menu includes Lebanese delicacies such as fool, falafel, hummus and beef tongue.
African caracal caught after escaping from Metro Detroit home
On Wednesday evening, a large domesticated African caracal cat was captured and returned to its owner in Royal Oak after escaping earlier in the day.
The escape is reportedly at least the third time the cat had escaped.
