According to U-M report, Wayne County's economy set to be fully recovered from COVID-19 by 2023

According to a report released by economists at the University of Michigan on Monday, Wayne County's economy is on its way to being fully recovered from COVID-19 in 2023.

The report also predicts that by 2023, Wayne County's unemployment rate will be the lowest it’s been in over 20 years.

Beaumont Health offering sign-on bonuses in attempt to overcome nurse shortage in Metro Detroit

Across Metro Detroit, Beaumont Health is looking to hire in retain nurses in the face of a healthcare worker shortage.

In order to assist recruitment efforts, the hospital system is offering a $10,000 sign-on bonus for new nurse hires, and an additional $11,000 retention bonus for nurses who remain on staff.

Pre-production Hummer EVs being produced at GM'S Factory Zero

At General Motors' Factory ZERO, the assembly line has begun to produce pre-production Hummer EV pickups.

The pickups currently are not for public sale, however, GMC has around 10,000 pre-orders for the vehicle.

Detroit Red Wings announce their complete 23-man roster for 2021-22 NHL campaign

On Monday afternoon, the Detroit Red Wings announced their complete 23-man roster including 13 forwards, eight defenseman, two goalies and an additional player on injured reserve in preparation for the 2021-22 NHL season.
