California Welcomes Retail Savings: Four New Locations from Iconic Discount Retailer
Great news for shoppers in California with Nordstrom Rack set to open four new locations in the Golden State over the next few weeks, with more to come over the next year.
It is part of the fashion retailer Nordstrom's plans to continue to grow its off-price retail division, Nordstrom Rack. They plan to open 30 new stores in the next 18 months. Thankfully for Californians, several of these are set to be in California.
The first store to open will be a 29,0000 square foot store in the Sequoia Mall in Visalia.
"We look forward to opening this new Nordstrom Rack location in the Visalia community, strengthening our network of stores and introducing new customers to Nordstrom Rack's unique product offering." Carl Jenkins, Senior Vice President of Nordstrom Rack Stores.
This will be followed by stores opening in Sacramento and San Luis Obispo on October 26th and Anaheim Hills on November 9

Below are the stores scheduled to open.
All will have grand opening celebrations starting at 8 a.m. with treats, giveaways, and competitions. VIP shopping parties will also held two days before the opening, with registrations required to attend.

- 323 Madonna Road San Luis Obispo, CA 93405 (October 26)
- 3561 N Freeway Blvd Sacramento, CA 95834 (October 26)
- 8140 East Santa Ana Canyon Road Unit #176 Anaheim, CA 92808 (November 9)

In addition to the store above, Nordstrom has announced future locations in California.
Spring 2024
- Gilroy, California — 25,000-square-foot store located in Gilroy Crossing.
- Oceanside, California — 31,000-square-foot store located in Pacific Coast Plaza.
- Pinole, California — 23,000-square-foot store located in Pinole Vista Crossing.
- Elk Grove, California — 25,000-square-foot store located in The Ridge Elk Grove.
- Gilroy, California — 25,000-square-foot store located in Gilroy Crossing.
Fall 2024:
- San Diego, California — 26,000 square-foot store will be located in Clairemont Town Square.
- San Mateo, California — 36,000 square-foot store will be located in Bridgepointe Shopping Center.
Spring 2025:
- Davis, California — 25,000 square-foot store will be located in The Davis Collection.
