Massachusetts Staples Store Bids Farewell – Half-Off Closing Down Sale in Progress
Popular office supply chain Staples is closing a store in Massachusetts this week, and savvy shoppers can take advantage of the closing down sale.
The Staples store in the Westgate Plaza in Westfield with close on October 6. The location is hosting a closing down sale, and most products in the store are marked down by 50 percent.
Once the store closes, the nearest Staples will be located at 1129 Riverdale St. in West Springfield. Employees who will lose their jobs have been offered positions at other Staples stores.
It has been a tough year for retail businesses, with several large chains filing for bankruptcy and closing stores, including Bed Bath & Beyond, Tuesday Morning, Party City, Christmas Tree Shops, David's Bridal, and Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams.
Even retail giants such as Walmart have been forced to close stores.
