Retail Giant's Streamlining Efforts: Eleven Store Closures, Kansas City Included
Disappointing news fans of outdoor specialty retailer Moosejaw with the announcement that eleven stores across the United States are due to close.
Dick's Sporting Goods acquired the retailer in March, and they have stated they will be closing eleven of the fourteen Moosejaw stores - including one in Kansas City, Missouri in February.
In addition to the store closures, Dick's will close Moosejaw's headquarters in Michigan.

The news shocked and disappointed employees when they found out at a virtual company meeting. It was reported that 39 staff were laid off.
Kansas City store closing
The Moosejaw store in Kansas City will be closed by February 2024. The store receives many positive reviews online, with an average 4.4-star rating on Google.
