Restaurant Chain Announces Closure of Florida Location

Disappointing news for fans of TGI Fridays in Panama City, Florida, with the chain's only restaurant in the city due to close in a few days.

The TGI Fridays at 1022 W. 23rd Street will permanently close on September 26. The announcement was made by Royal American Companies (RAC), which owns three franchise locations of TGI Fridays.

"This difficult decision was ,made after a thorough evaluation of our franchise agreement and the overall strength of the TGI Friday's brand."

The Panama City location has been open for 23 years.

Several TGI Fridays have closed over the past few months, including locations in Idaho, New York, and Alabama.
