Student research group Niche has just released its public school rankings. It is good news for one school that has taken the title of best public school in New Jersey.
Niche uses a variety of data measurements, including "ratings from current students, alumni, and parents...and...quantitative data from sources like the U.S. Department of Education to evaluate teachers, resources and facilities, extracurricular activity opportunities, and more."
This information is then used to rank over 92,743 public schools across the United States.
The Bronx High School of Science was ranked as the best public high in New York. The school scored an A+ in academics, teachers, and college prep. The school has 2,985 students in grades 9-12, with a student-teacher ratio of 17 to 1. The average SAT score is 1450.
The school was not only named the Best Public High School in New York, but it ranked 13th overall in the United States.
Stuyvesant High School was ranked second best in New York, with Staten Island Technical High School placing third.
