Florida Airport Soars to the Top: Named Best Large Airport in the Nation

What is the best large airport in the United States?

Each year for the last 18 years, J.D. Power—has released its 2023 North America Airport Satisfaction Study, ranking the best airports in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.

The rankings "are based on six factors including terminal facilities, airport arrival/departure, baggage claim, security check, check-in/baggage check and food/beverage/retail."

For the second year in a row, Tampa International Airport was judged the best large airport in the United States. Large airports are classified as handling between 10 and 32.9 million passengers, and Tampa finished first out of 27 airports in this category.

In the mega airport category- those handling more than 32.9 million passengers, Miami was ranked 5th best in the nation, Orlando came in 9th, while Fort Lauderdale ranked 17th- out of 20 airports.
