Texas developer PSW Real Estate LLC, known as StoryBuilt, has announced it will be laying off 87 employees.

Under the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act, an employer with more than 100 full-time workers must provide a 60-day notice before laying off 50 or more people at a single site. StoryBuilted filed a notice with the Texas Workforce Commission advising of 87 layoffs.

The job cuts come as the business faces legal action from several parties.

The Austin Business Journal reports Capstar is suing the business for breach of contract, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, and Texas Securities Act violations. Caprstar is seeking $400,000 in damages.

It is one of three lawsuits filed against StoryBuilt this year. In total, the lawsuits are seeking more than $1.5 million.
