North Texas to Flourish with Trio of New H-E-B Supermarkets

Good news for H-E-B lovers in North Texas with a new store to open next month, plus three new stores announced.

Let's take a quick look at this exciting news.

Store opening in October

A new 117,000-square-foot Allen H-E-B, located about 25 miles north of Dallas, will open on October 4. The new store will feature a full-service pharmacy with a drive-thru, a True Texas BBQ restaurant with a drive-thru, an H-E-B Wellness Primary Care clinic, curbside pickup, home delivery, and more.

The store will be open from 6 am to 11 pm seven days a week.

North Texas Expansion- Three New Stores

H-E-B announced three new stores will open in 2025, with ground breaking at the sites to occur next year.

  • H-E-B Melissa. Northeast corner US 75 and Highway 121
  • H-E-B Prosper. Southeast corner Frontier Parkway and the Dallas North Tollway
  • H-E-B Rockwall. Southwest corner of John King Boulevard and I30.

H-E-B has recently focused on expansion in North Texas, with multiple property acquisitions in the Dallas Fort Worth area. Last year, it opened its new H-E-B stores in Frisco and Plano, while a new store opened in July in McKinney.

A new store in Mansfield broke ground in April, while H-E-B also recently announced significant renovations of its store in Waxahachie. The project will add over 22,000 square feet to the location, transforming it into an H-E-B Plus format.

H-E-B opened more new grocery square footage than any other grocer in 2022, and the Dallas Fort Worth Area is a significant part of this expansion strategy.

H-E-B is the largest private employer in Texas, and these news stores continue offering employment opportunities to Dallas Fort Worth residents.

The grocery giant stated it was "committed to the DFW area for the long term and hopes to serve even more of the Metroplex in the future."
