Popular grocery chain Sprouts Farmers Market is opening eight new stores in Florida this summer, including one this week in Delray Beach.
Good news for Delray Beach residents with the opening of a new Sprouts Farmers Market this Friday.
Sprouts Farmers Market is known for its fresh organic produce, bulk nuts, and supplements and currently has over 370 stores across the United States. The chain plans to open eight new stores in the state this summer, bringing the total number of Sprouts grocery stores in Florida to forty-three.
New locations opening
The store will open with a ribbon cutting ceremony this Friday, June 9, at 645am. Across the opening weekend, there will be various activities to celebrate the grand opening, including a “pop-up party” out front that will allow guests to taste seasonal produce, play games, have their faces painted, see artists carve large produce, and more.
This Delray Beach store will stock produce from local farmers such as Alderman Farms, Santa Sweets, and Wish Farms. Through "Sprouts’ Food Rescue program, this store will donate groceries that are no longer fit for sale but remain perfectly edible and nutrient-rich to Feeding South Florida, a local food bank that provides wholesome food to families and individuals at risk of hunger."
“I am pleased to welcome Sprouts Farmers Market to Delray Beach. Our city is known for its thriving business community, wellness-minded residents, and historic coastal charm. Sprouts Farmers Market brings valuable jobs to our city, as well as an opportunity to add new voices to our diverse community.” Delray Beach Mayor, Shelly Petrolia
