The long-awaited new H-E-B store in Georgetown was officially opened to the public today.

The 121,000-square-foot shop includes a two-story True Texas BBQ restaurant, H-E-B Curbside, and Home Delivery services, an extensive wine and beer selection, deli and healthy living departments, a fuel station, and car wash, as well as a Texas Backyard outdoor living section. It will have 625 staff.

The new store replaces the 67,000-square-foot store at 1100 South I35, which opened in 1989.

We are thrilled to bring a new H-E-B store to Georgetown, a growing community we’ve proudly been a part of for more than 55 years. We look forward to serving this community with a larger store that offers a wide assortment of products and services.” Cathy Harm, H-E-B Group Vice President Central Texas

H-E-B Group Vice President Central Texas, Cathy Harm, is certainly a fan of the new store, stating:

"This store is, hands-down, the most breathtaking store in our entire company. It's breathtaking."

Another H-E-B leadership team member said the store was the best in the company "without a doubt."

That's high praise from H-E-B; will the store live up to it?
