Great news for dogs- and dog owners in San Antonio with the opening of the San Antonio Spurs’ dog park at La Cantera to the public.

The Coyote Park is the largest dog park in Bexar County, spanning over 7.5 acres. The facility features an agility course, walking trails, seating areas, dog wash stations, play mounds, and designated areas for large and small dogs. In addition, the park provides a trailhead that offers easy access to the Leon Creek and Salado Creek Greenways and is owned by Bexar County and maintained by Spurs Sports & Entertainment.

The dog park is part of the massive Rock at La Cantera project. At the cost of $500 million, the 45-acre project will "include a Spurs performance center, a public outdoor plaza, a 22-acre park that encompasses the dog area, and space for medical and office use."

Spurs officials expect there will be over 1,700 potential full-time employees at the site. The new practice facility is expected to open in August.

I wonder if Victor Wembanyama has a dog?
